Canggu Club in Bali

Canggu Club in Bali is an expanding world-class sports and leisure complex, located within the island’s expatriate Canggu community area. Spanning 3.54ha, it houses several different facilities onsite.

Also including a waterpark, a world-class fitness centre, tenpin bowling alley, tennis centre, kids club, and spa. The island’s largest trampoline centre that is not just for kids, and multiple food and beverage outlets.

The club started off as an answer to the demands of expats. Living in the area looking for high quality leisure and a one-stop sports centre, and as private members club. Over time, in October 2014 there was a big push to attract non-members to some areas of its new facilities.

Now, slightly renamed as ‘New Canggu Club’ it welcomes all. Including locals and visitors, become a much popular weekend destination for families and holiday makers staying around Canggu and Seminyak.

Next to the sports field is Splash Waterpark, built with families in mind. It is great for cooling off in the tropical sun. Mom and dad can lounge back while the kids splash away in the pools or race down colourful slides. Rest assured, all waterpark activities are under the watchful eyes of trained lifeguards.

Splash Waterpark in Bali is the latest addition to Bali’s collection of fun water parks. It is located right next to the main facilities of the Canggu Club sporting and leisure complex right along the road leading to Berawa Beach.

The waterpark spans 2,400sqm with a number of pools and slides, and at that size, it might not contend much to the island’s premier Waterbom Bali, but its build and design is top quality, with supporting facilities that promise a fun and safe day out for all ages.

For grownups and bigger kids, among the options is Giant Racer. A high 90m-long slide that welcomes up to four participants for a single ‘race’ down. One of the features of this particular slide is there’s an integrated speedometer that tracks your race.

So you can check on a screen at the end to settle any disputes, and declare the true winner. A first of its kind in Bali. Speed Racer is a smaller slide designed for younger kids. So they won’t miss out on the fun.

Those who don’t like straight and monotonous lines can check out the Super Bowl. Which sets you whirling as you gain momentum with every turn and into a tailspin around a giant bowl. Before shooting out and splashing into the plunge pool below.

Then there’s the Big Red, a large, aptly named tunnelling slide which starts five storeys high and sets you onto a longer joyride through rolling twists and curves.

And then there’s the milder set in the collection with a Crazy Creek. There you can head to after for a timeout or in between races to catch your breath before the next round. The steady stream lets you gently meander through a 102m watercourse, and is fit for all.

Obviously, the kids don’t know what ‘timeout’ means, and they can always make good use of the dedicated Splash Playground. With a shallow lagoon, a fort with water cannons, mini slides and theme park-styled props. Lifeguards are on duty and keep their watchful eye at all times.
